Introducing Frame.io for Apple TV, DRM and 2FA for content and identity protection, Baselight integration, and Camera to Cloud support for DSLR, mirrorless, iPhone, and Android cameras.
Open your secure Frame.io Enterprise Inbox in the new Apple TV app and start watching 10-bit 4K HDR content on any big-screen television. Simply use the Apple remote to jump between clips in your inbox, loop clip playback to take a closer look, or autoplay through an entire folder of dailies.
Camera to Cloud now works with virtually every camera and unlocks even more custom workflows. Large crews shooting with digital cinema cameras, small crews using DSLR and mirrorless cameras, or even a vlogger out and about with their iPhone can now use Camera to Cloud to turn projects around faster.
Digital cinema
For ARRI, Panavision, RED, Canon, and Sony cinema cameras, the Teradek Serv 4K is a massive leap in quality for Camera to Cloud workflows. It captures in 10-bit 4K HEVC HDR up to 85Mbps, encodes BT2084/PQ files and uploads them to Frame.io in the background for instant HDR review.
Mirrorless and DSLR
Now you can use Camera to Cloud with a wide range of mirrorless and DSLR cameras including Canon, Sony, Nikon, and Panasonic. With an Atomos Connect Wi-Fi 6 module for existing Ninja V/V+ recorders or a 7” Shogun Connect recorder, you can capture ProRes or DNx “hero” files, while simultaneously generating and auto-uploading 1080P, H.265 (HEVC) proxy files to Frame.io.
Mobile phones
Camera to Cloud now fits in the palm of your hand. FiLMiC Pro is the most advanced 4K video recorder ever made for your iPhone and Android phone. Now, the latest release enables you to generate lightweight 1080P, H.264 video files and auto-upload to Frame.io. These H.264 Proxy files are small enough to upload over Wi-Fi or cellular, allowing remote editors to immediately start selecting the best takes.
Audio recorders
Viviana Cloud opens the door for a wide range of audio field recorders to connect to Frame.io, including the Sound Devices 833, PreMix6, and Zoom F8. Connect the Viviana Cloud device to your recorder in file transfer mode and use the Viviana Cloud app to upload audio assets straight into your Frame.io project.
Workflow solutions
FDX FilmDataBox automates your production data workflows and connects your set to the cloud. The powerful hardware/software data-management solution lets you plug in a media card and walk away while your files are backed up, transcoded to H.264, DNxHD, AVC-Intra, or ProRes, and uploaded directly to your Frame.io project.
Copy protection for your most valuable pre-release content. Block unauthorized viewing and sharing of your content on Frame.io while still giving team members the freedom to do their jobs. Frame.io employs a multi-DRM solution to encrypt all the video uploaded to an Enterprise account. Decryption for authorized viewing occurs only within the Frame.io web, iPhone, or Apple TV apps.
Go ahead, choose Safari, Chrome, Edge, or the Firefox web browser. Our DRM protection works across them all. It even keeps you protected on Safari, Chrome, and Android mobile browsers.
Because even authorized people can make mistakes, Frame.io prevents team members from sharing screengrabs of encrypted content from our apps on iPhone, Apple TV, or the Frame.io web app on Safari.
Video editors using the Frame.io extensions in NLEs can keep working. Frame.io DRM copy protection is smart enough to allow editors access to clean source content if they have permissions.
Hacking, phishing, and other attempts to steal your password are facts of life. In addition to username and password, two-factor authentication (2FA) provides an additional layer of security to make sure users really are who they say they are.
Verify your login using popular time-based one-time password (TOTP) authentication apps like Authy, Google, and others.
Download and save a simple text file of backup codes in the event you lose access to your verification device.
Put a barrier in place between malicious agents and team members still using “123456” as their password.
Baselight is a high-end color grading and finishing system that now includes completely native Frame.io integration. Colorists can easily navigate Frame.io projects and share graded timelines with notes for client reviews. Comments made in Frame.io can be filtered, added to the timeline, and simultaneously displayed in list view for quickly navigating and keeping track of feedback.
Upload timelines and import comments directly from the Baselight Scene menu. With no extra extensions or plugins to download or install, it's an incredibly intuitive workflow.
Set up user-defined marker categories to easily filter comments that are exported from the timeline to Frame.io.
Saving export settings on a per-project basis eliminates the need to reconfigure upload options, smoothing multiple-project collaboration
